| STEROLIZER 09/14/20 10:51:08 PM #177: | Red Ventures could theoretically do an audit and see where they want to put their efforts into. GameFaqs is in risk of shutting down. I doubt they will, but it is possible. CNet was sold to CBS in 2008 for 1.5 billion dollars, and now Red Ventures acquires it for only 500k. Obviously, it wasn't making CBS any money, as they just took a 64% loss on their investment. It would be foolish of Red Ventures to simply keep all of the CNET employees and operate business as usual, they should be looking to strip down it's assets and turn a profit. It is of note that GameFaqs wasn't even listed in the press release as one of the brands Red Ventures was excited to acquire. Only GameSpot, Metacritic, TVGuide.com, Chowhound, Roadshow, and ZDNet were mentioned. --- ---./|,-``\(o)_\,----,,,_........................Love is like a bottle of gin ---( `\(o),,_/` : o : : :o `-,..............But a bottle of gin is not like love. ...
