If it was said from the beginning she was selected to nominate Sanders all of this would have been handled already and the controversy wouldn't have even happened. But they didnt want to let the left know she wasnt getting a real slot to speak, making the lefts issue with Kasich getting a slot even more poignant because she literally did get snubbed. If it wasn't for Sanders she wouldnt have spoke. The bolded is part of why this is even a controversy; nobody was talking about AOC speaking like it was a nomination, but like it was a regular speech like Kasich's or Jill's.
