You're proving the point here. If you're taking enough cough syrup to raise your BAC that much, you shouldn't be driving anyway. In fact, if you're taking any type of medication that impacts your ability to operate a vehicle, you shouldn't be driving.

And from what I read, you would need 12 teaspoons of cough syrup to get a BAC of 0.12. That's a lot of cough syrup.
