Depends where you are. My girlfriend has gone for some dental work (she had a broken tooth, which was obviously a big enough deal to warrant taking the risk), and they had a pretty extensive screening process before she was even allowed in the building, including having her temperature taken at the door and needing to complete a signed declaration that she hadn't been traveling anywhere high-risk. That screening makes me feel pretty safe about it, particularly where that was in an area with relatively few active cases. We've since moved to an area with even fewer cases, and once my two-week isolation period is up (mandatory for anyone entering the province from the rest of Canada), I'm planning to go for a cleaning/check-up myself.

I am not allowed to truthfully answer that question or I will get suspended.

That probably means you should come up with a better truthful answer.
