disney losing money doesnt justify the cost to the consumer. They are not providing any value for that cost

if a company spends billions in R&D for a pencil, the end result is still a pencil and will have to be priced as such to sell
This is definitely a test run on Disney's part. They are going to try and see if they can get theater level revenues on their movies and work from there. Fact of the matter is, for a lot of people the theater experience isn't as important as seeing a new movie at roughly the same time as the general population. Disney is hoping there are enough of those people to make this work.
