My big thing with Awakening is that it's way too busted to a degree that optimal play is really bland. Robin and pair up are both completely busted, to the point where doing anything else is almost pointless. Doing a serious Awakening run is like...pick Fem Robin, marry her to Chrom, pair them up, and Nosferatu tank while taking as many busted skills as you can get. Other flaws aside, that part really kills it for me. Birthright is basically Awakening but less busted (it shares some of its flaws with story, characters, and maps, though) and SD is bland but its gameplay is decent.
