I never understood the controller hate. At least in the campaign, every single enemy encounter can either be cherry picked from a distance with R targeting and the super generous aim-assist, or just strafe spam and Leroy Jenkinsing into the room. >_>

I remember loving goldeneye them about a year later I was playing counter strike beta and Tfc with my buddies and goldeneye felt hopefully outdated back in 98/99
