Might I remind you OP that just because the age of consent is XY doesn't mean you can't be attracted to someone aged XY - 1. The purpose of laws is to maintain order and the progression of society. It has nothing to do with mandating how human nature works. In this context, how it was pushed to bring the age of consent to 16-18 depending on the state to give women more freedom and leverage to contribute to society aside from the traditional role of being a homemaker. --- ...
