Regardless of what the stimulus package ends up being, the $600 bonus is only keeping people from working and they need to end or reduce it. I've talked to multiple people that are happy as shit about sitting at home making as much or more than they were before. These people aren't gonna go back to work unless they're forcefully dragged from their homes. Do the back to work bonus and also give that bonus to people who have had to work the entire fucking time without any bonus whatsoever

The silver lining to the $600 debacle is that the idea that people actually enjoy work and find it fulfilling has been permanently proven complete fucking bs.
I knew it was all along, but a lot of people, especially on the right, seemed to have this strange idea that our labor and hard work defined us. And that people are happy to bust their ass week after week, and it's not the (actual and obvious) reason that they simply...need money to live. Any sane person who could make the same money working or not working would choose the latter.
Of course, this is only a problem because unemployment "rewards" not working. When we finally get our heads out of our asses and adopt UBI, then everyone gets the same money regardless of working or not, and you then work to earn more than the basic level needed to survive, to afford luxuries, entertainment, travel, etc...
Then exhausting and tough labor will cost employers more of a premium, because employees are no longer choosing between back-breaking labor or starving, and few will be willing to do it for a tiny pittance anymore.

TL;DR: Working fucking sucks and we do it b/c we have to; anyone who thinks otherwise probably got rich without ever having to do it themselves.
