As we all remember, many years ago, there was a Save My Waifu contest that "I" ran. Unfortunately, it looks like it was not from a year archived on a certain site, so I'm unable to find exact information on the outcome. I believe the final was Euphemia li Britannia winning over Kyoko Kirigiri, but that's the extent of what I can remember. If anyone has more detailed results, please share them.

Anyway, given recent waifu discussion from noted waifu expert Steiner, I've decided to resurrect this contest and bring back the glory of waifus to Board 8. But, given that I cannot remember almost ANYTHING from that original contest, I'm going to have to reboot it almost completely from scratch. That means nominations to make up the field!

Now, I'm assuming that, because this isn't a major contest, there may or may not be an active desire to participate. As such, I'm starting things out simple, and depending on how the nominations so, this might be expanded.

NOMINATION RULES:

  • Each user may nominate TWO waifus.
  • Please be very clear as to your waifu's name and media origin.
  • Please do not nominate joke characters (for example, the Dorito Man nomination in Maria's ranking topic) or OCs. I'm willing to accept almost anything, but just try to keep it reasonable, you know?
  • The field could be anywhere from 50 to 100 waifus, depending on interest.
  • Since Euphie and Kirigiri were the finalists in the first contest, I'm giving them an auto-in this time around. So Euphemia li Britannia and Kyoko Kirigiri are already in the contest and do not need to be nominated.

That's it. Pretty simple, since we're in the nominations topic. Get to nominating and enjoy yourselves.
