Well that's really awesome they didn't bug your asthma! I know there are hypoallergenic cats that people with cat allergies can handle just fine, but I didn't think about how they might impact someone with asthma.

Respiratory infections are really common with kittens yes, it's like getting a cold for humans and when they're in confined shelter environments it can spread really quickly.

Going to have to do some extra measures today, she isn't eating (can't smell the food) and her nose is really stopped up. Tried more steam therapy and saline but it hasn't helped. Will probably have to get creative - some people said they mix in kitten formula with meat-based baby foods which might be a temporary solution to get at least some nutrients in her/be able to give her the antibiotics.

Oh no - I hope her appetite comes back! Does she eat treats? You could mix them with some wet food... then again I only cared for older kittens, so I don't have a lot of knowledge about this
