I'm starting to learn the behaviors with viewers. I've learned they come and go, people are fickle. And thats fine. at a certain point I just started questioning out loud the motives of these people. Like, why come into an RPG playthrough for 20 seconds. Was wondering if its something to do with me or if I'm not a good streamer or host. I think I came off whinier than I should've because at the end, when b8ers were leaving, they were like "Don't be sad, i'm gonna leave" lol. I wasn't beating myself up or complaining. These thoughts were just running through my head and I figured I'd say them outloud since I was hosting and to keep some talking going. but I should probably not do that either
Somewhat of a continuation of the other one but I've learned viewers...don't actually VIEW you. Apparently its the cool thing to just leave the stream going while doing something else. I figured people were just dedicated to the game and watch it but thats not the case. I AM gonna have to be a good host and talker if I'm to keep this up
Unless you purposely announce you are doing a master run, its okay to just play casually. Sometimes I beat myself up for not playing the best I can be but thats not what people are there for. Just games
I'm not sure WHAT would happen but I've learned when you do an ad break, the recording of the stream ....is still going. I reviewed some footage and yea, I'm just standing there doing nothing sometimes. I need to exercise a "BRB" screen during these times
You can do an adbreak every 10 minutes. I know you shouldn't...DO that. But I thought an adbreak was every hour...then I discovered I can do that every 30...then it turns out its every 10. I was testing this when it was just GOG left in the stream, he was a good sport about it lol
then finally......Ads don't get you much LOL. I know, I've said this before. But even with me discovering ad breaks, I still only earned 5 cents from a long ass stream. Mayne. It just blows my mind everytime. The idea is I guess you're supposed to be running these ads with like 20 or 30 people there. I'm still rolling 5-10. Its an obvious thing but still something I need to keep in mind. Its just funny to me it still blows my mind. I'm not upset, When this started, I knew I was gonna be making "some change".
