| monkmith 07/18/20 9:16:41 AM #9: | yes. polio went through a couple. if i remember correctly the original formula was an inactivated (dead) virus that had reduced effectiveness and a nasty habit of surviving the inactivation process and causing the disease. rabies has been through several, there's an odd story about one specific vaccine that involved passing the virus through monkey kidney cells twice to attenuate it. --- Taarsidath-an halsaam.
