My wife and I considered a few southern states as when we were trying to figure out where we might live when we got married. Ultimately we decided to stay where we grew up.

In glad I'm not in the south, but what reasoning is being given for these kinds of decisions? Its obviously nonsense but they have to be saying something about why they are making decisions completely against all medical advice.

Being a GA resident, I'll try to respond as best as I can remember - Kemp stated that the economy would be severely impacted by mandating mask/social distancing, specifically highlighting small businesses and restaurants. He didn't specify the connection between mandated masks in general activities out on the community and economic impact. The mandate doesn't *prohibit* small businesses from having their own mandates, just makes it appear to be a "do your own thing"
