I've blocked people so that they would not have a platform on my page to harass others. I've also blocked people for my own mental health. I don't think blocking people always, or even often, shows weakness. Sometimes it just means you know your limits with people. The block feature on this site has a huge flaw. The person doing the blocking can continue to bully the users they've blocked by lie and rumor spreading, while the blocked has no way to know and mark the harassing posts.
