We knew lobbyist and companies had influence over lawmakers. Im not sure many of us knew Congress is having these people WRITE THE BILLS FOR CONGRESS AND SIGNING THEM INTO LAW. Insanity. An investigation by USA TODAY, The Arizona Republic and the Center for Public Integrity has found that in the last eight years, more than 10,000 bills introduced in statehouses nationwide were almost entirely copied from bills written by special interests. These copy-and-paste bills are commonly known as model legislation.
