Topic | The first film the Wachoski Brothers ever did was a lesbian neo-noir drama. |

It couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a kid's movie or a young adult drama, and those aspects did not mesh well (hard cut from villain explaining stock manipulation to sugar-rush Spritle rocking to Freebird in front of a greenscreen and back again). The actual races and occasional fight scenes / car battles were gold, though - pure eye candy. And even at that point I was already aware of and loved Michael Giacchino thanks to his work on The Incredibles, and his soundtrack really helped this movie along. --- Simple questions deserve long-winded answers that no one will bother to read. ...
