I've always liked their films.

I don't think Speed Racer gets enough love.

It's one of those movies that I love, but recognize it as being very flawed. It couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a kid's movie or a young adult drama, and those aspects did not mesh well (hard cut from villain explaining stock manipulation to sugar-rush Spritle rocking to Freebird in front of a greenscreen and back again).

The actual races and occasional fight scenes / car battles were gold, though - pure eye candy. And even at that point I was already aware of and loved Michael Giacchino thanks to his work on The Incredibles, and his soundtrack really helped this movie along.
