If the class is some absurdly easy course online is fine. But any class with some decent complexity having people to interact with in a room is much more efficient and in general better for learning But ya college is also about actually meeting people to build connections with. Then again when you walk around a campus these days (well pre covid) the amount of people who walk from class to class with their headphones in and no communication with anyone is just pathetic.
