That's a pretty worthy commitment. Some of the platinums are pretty tough to get (though I was surprised by how many platinums I was able to get in Crash 1 during my first attempt). I've found the easier ones tend to be where there's a lower skill ceiling, like the boulder levels or hog-riding levels where your running speed is constant.

Some of the platinum times are inconsistant in Crash 1 I think.

Levels like Sunset Vista are really easy to platinum because the time is really lenient. I think I got platinum with like 10 seconds to spare after screwing up a bunch but N.Sanity Beach is one of the tougher levels because the time is stupidly strict and you have to be flawless to get under the time by miliseconds..
