It's often interesting seeing what side people fall on with the tipping debate. You see a lot of people arguing that tips should be eliminated and wait staff given higher wages, but more often than not I see wait staff arguing against that change because a good waiter or waitress in a nice restaurant is pulling way more an hour than any restaurant would ever pay them.

It's this weird case of good intentions with bad results. Eliminating tipping would result in a giant pay cut for most people across the country. The only people that would benefit are the bad employees and it would probably result in a price hike for consumers as well.
