In the US, there's little Democrats seem to enjoy more than reminiscing fondly about the decency of John McCain and George W. Bush. They yearn for the strong hand of a respectable Republican adversary. And they were shit too. Bush is bona fide war criminal. Trump is just taking what Republicans have been running on for the past three decades to its logical conclusion. Which is why the Republicans love him so much. The problem is establishment Democrats like Biden are corporate whores. Just as much as Republicans.
