It's funny I was rewatching it and I remembered Sokka as always being portrayed as an oaf in ways while Katara and Aang are the level headed ones, but when he makes a call it's the right one 99% of the time. Hes often the butt of the joke since hes not as talented as the others, but hes also a lot more of a realist, often being pessimistic or suspicious more than the others. This bit really sells the Sokka world view to me (and is hilarious): Katara: Are you saying I'm a liar? Sokka: I'm saying you're an optimist. Same thing, basically. --- Log on to the Webbernet! ...
