It is both possible and most likely legal to ban an app. This isn't comparable to the CCP or some dictatorship banning an app to prevent social communication, this is a democratic nation banning an app to prevent foreign espionage. The question isn't, "Is this ban enforceable?" The question is, "What is this app collecting and who is using it for what purpose?" We know, roughly, what Facebook and Google collects and how the information is used. We don't know what Tik Tok collects or uses.
