Religious parents let their 5-month baby starve to death, thinking it was okay to leave her in dirty dippers for 17 hours a day. Claimed she never cried for food, but she was physically unable to cry or do anything because she was so starved. They had two other children as well.
Why would they f'n do that? They were really into religion and fallowed The Bible word for word and were hugely against doctors, saying they were sorcerers and using magic, and that goes against God. It also didn't help when the one time they took one of their kids into see a doctor, the doctor "forged" papers after they didn't want to buy an expensive item. These "forged" papers was the doctor doing what they're legally required to - mandatory reporting to CPA about the neglect that the kid was showing already.
