I was curious once to find out if roaches could bite, etc. The answer I got was "yes" The reason being since they're omnivorous and seeking food anywhere, if you're asleep they might be brave or desperate enough to give you a nibble in your sleep. It's like how wasps might try to take a bit of your flesh. Now you'll really sleep soundly.
