And I always, always, ALWAYS found it weird that we didn't have separate age brackets or just outright restrict people from attending events if they were unsupervised minors. At the same time, when you're actually just going to events to straight up just play and improve, you really aren't focusing on any potential weirdness that anyone else is doing because you spent money travelling and are spending money at a hotel so you're like fuck these weirdos I'm busy. Least thats how it was for me. In retrospect, I guess being a part of a community means you should probably be paying attention to what goes on around you whether you like the people or not.
