Had he wanted to he could have ended that fight quickly but he didn't and allowed Kuwabara to come up with a way to defeat him...and you have to remember Kuwabara was weaker than Hiei and Kurama but that handy new hilt he was given made his spirit sword a lot stronger than it was before. So yeah, he really only gets beaten because of his own flaws. If he had just gone into to kill/win as fast possible he would have tore Kuwabara's heart out in an instant. lilORANG posted... Younger Toguro also appears to be a chump. Wtf. ??? Toguro is the strongest guy they have encountered up to the point where you are...maybe after the arc wraps up you will understand him a little better since there are some things you don't learn about him during the fight.
