I'm excited since we have no debt and plenty of money, but it's super awkward...

She's a very strict lesbian and refuses to be impregnated by a man, which she was upfront about prior to marriage (in fact I made a topic about it last year)

So I'm the one getting pregnant. Yikes. But the kicker is that she wants to pick a guy she trusts and loves as a friend, and wants him to be black because she's from Ethiopia and she wants a child that looks like her even if the child isn't genetically related. Ok I can do that too.

But I told her I specifically need to get to know the guy and at least have somewhat intimate feelings for him or it won't "feel" right to me (in other words, I want to actually have sex and not artificial insemination), and she was a bit put off about it but agreed to it.

So um, yeah that's a thing.
