Note, that these aren't current US politicians currently serving some purpose. Its a list of all recent ones, and a number of them have either left their previous political jobs, and many are currently in jail.

For example, this list includes Tim Nolan (R) who was sentenced for 20 years in February 2018 and Anthony Weiner, who as of right now, has already served his entire prison sentence (this is a different issue though).

It also lists people like Harvey Weinstein, who aren't really politicians. That's not to say these people shouldn't be known, but the title "US politicians charged or convicted with sex crimes against minors" is misleading.

The type of money that people like him generate and contribute to political parties is enough to make him and others like him, significant influences in the overall scheme of things.
