With how that company treated him, there is no way he would have been happier. At all. Money and clout is something Conan has never shown to care about. He wants to make people laugh and entertain his audience. The legacy to an extent but he's always held The Tonight Show as something bigger than him. Notti posted... His negotiating and trying to force Leno out wasn't a good idea. What are you talking about? The network made promises and broke them to "appease" both him and Leno. Conan was getting screwed every which way. The president of the network was openly critical of him. Leno was pushing himself back into the spotlight.
