Nobody says "we must be allowed to ask questions about evolution" unless they're a creationist who want their religion taught in school science classes, because if you don't have an agenda, it's pretty obvious to you that you are allowed to ask questions about evolution, or in this case corona. Usually what is interpreted as not being allowed to ask questions is when being called out on being a conspiracy theorist with an agenda. Indeed. "We should be allowed to ask questions" is sady code for "I didn't ask questions, do any actual real research and I can provide no better ideas that you haven't already thought of and investigated, but I don't like what you're saying".
