You order the priciest steak on the menu, medium rare, but when it comes out it is well done. You ask the waiter to bring you another steak but he refuses and says it is as you ordered it. You don't want to look like a bitch in front of your girl, so you stand up and start yelling at the waiter, demanding that he rectify your dining experience. People start staring and recording the commotion on their phone as you stand in the table and scream 'I want to talk to the manager!' Someone yells 'stfu karen' and you say, 'I'm no karen, I'm a fucking man!' Emotionally overwhelmed and humiliated you run to the bathroom to wash your face. The cold water feels so good splashing on your skin. You turn off the faucet and look up into the mirror in front of you. The face of a middle age white suburban woman looks back. --- ...
