They were both nominated for all the awards either was AFAIK, and they're the top 2 anime movies on every ranking collection I've seen. I mean Your Name was a global phenomenon; a traditionally animated film has not enjoyed that type of success, especially from overseas, for a very long time. It nearly reached Spirited Away box office levels and is a top 10 grosser for the history of 2D animation atm. A Silent Voice might be as critically hailed, but it never achieved the popularity of Your Name. Fair, I was thinking more among the anime fandom, where they def go blow for blow, but when you leave that space, I suppose I've heard more about Your Name. --- "Let's all go play nagasaki.
