The vast majority of the things you can unbox are worth significantly less than the key it cost to open. Essentially you're gambling on the <1% chance you unbox an Unusual hat to make it all worth it, otherwise you can just trade for the hats you want on backpack.tf I will say it offers the means of getting the cosmetics you want purely without paying money as long as you get enough metal (and don't want anything of value) so it does have that going for it. --- The Legend is True! ...
