Are you serious? He owns his own production company. Can do literally whatever he wants in regards to his craft. Has evolved his medium while his peers are woefully behind. Has it set up where he is promoting other comedians shows/acts/etc and giving them a chance to shine.

He is in a far better place than an NBC cog and he knows it.

As for the whole half-hour thing people are talking about, you all know he started out at an hour? And the only reason he shrunk it down to a half hour is because he saw talk-shows were getting old fashioned and he wanted to just focus on a single interview right? And his whole move to online.

As for who was at fault?
NBC for the whole thing.
Jay for being a bitch and not wanting to leave when he promised he would.
I do not understand how Conan is at fault at all. He got pissed that promises were being broken.

Conan is absolutely my favorite, and was the funniest host at the time by far. Leno was always a bit of a snore. But.

He could have done plenty while working at NBC and kept the clout and money and legacy.

No doubts he'd be happier if he stayed at NBC.

On top of that I recall him making a comment about how his biggest concerns at the time was making sure his crew was secure with the move and their paychecks etc. I don't see the change being to his advantage, nor his crew's.

I blame all 3 parties.

What did Conan do wrong?

His negotiating and trying to force Leno out wasn't a good idea.

Sometimes when you get pushy, you realize your company doesn't need you as much as you think.
