Somehow this one little fact, the entire basis of the "collusion" argument, evaded me for the last 4 years. Because I did not hear it once. I blame myself and I also blame other people for not arguing well, instead saying "X person says it's really convincing" the hacking is a different allegation than spending money on ads (AFAIK theres no allegation that the russian govt contributed to the trump campaign -- they ran their own ads. there are some russian bureaucrats who illegally contribiuted so maybe you could make a case there ). there's pretty compelling evidence IMO that the IRA (the agency who placed the ads) worked with the russian government. the claim that it was directly ordered by putin seems like a USIC fabrication though, im not aware of any independent verification of htat the hacking allegations aren't even about hacking the election - there's a few different claims here russian involvemnet in the guccifer leaks hacking PII about donors from DNC servers Yellow posted... Mind you while I will take $100,000 of Russian money supposedly going to Trump ads as collusion, I don't think it was the biggest reason why Trump won, and is often used to excuse Hillary Clinton. i agree with this. its bad, but I doubt it had much of an impact and the way democrats focus on it given the scope of all the other, much more horrible shit trump has done, is embarassing. it's like they just need an excuse for losing. 100k of ads in a presidential election is almost nothing (my post earlier about this was sarcastic, if it wasnt clear lol) otoh the guccifer leaks may have had a bigger impact, but it's tough for me to be mad about those. i just wish somebody would hack the RNC servers too --- god is dumb #NotAllGamers #YesAllLandlods <cite>OniRonin posted [p:941542618] in Trump and ...
