I'm not sure if you're familiar with deck building games like this, so I apologize if this is obvious to you, but one of the most important things to learn is when not to take cards

A smaller deck is often an asset in games like this - allows you to hit the right stuff when you need it more often

My one successful run so far was with the gun lady and a super super small deck of basically just a few shield cards, I got lucky with getting relics (or whatever the game calls them) that buffed me when I shuffled

So I just held down the attack button and constantly was shuffling or casting shields
