We're upset because PRIVATE schools are not supposed to be funded by our tax dollars. And even if that weren't the case, our government isn't supposed to cater/show favoritism to religious institutions. This is a bad thing, regardless of what any of those particular schools teach.

The government isn't supposed to show favoritism to a particular religion, according to the Constitution. Beyond that it's an argument about whether tax dollars funding religious schools is just or not. It's a pretty complicated question, and this article and the majority of this topic are clearly not where you want to want to be getting your information from.

But to answer your first question, that goes beyond the scope of this ruling. 29 states + DC + PR already give tax funding to private schools. I said earlier in this topic, that's what people should really be yelling about.
