Doom IMO would be better as the new Loki... a first movie threat that sticks around but ultimately just hypes up the actual big bad and inevitably sides with the heroes (temporarily). What I love most about Doom is how he gets into such crazy shit that he can be a threat to anybody at any given point in time. He's not like Loki, who lost once and then was just kind of a dick for a while. He's not like Thanos, who operated on such a scale that he could only show up, fuck shit up, and die.
