How does a democracy work when over 50% of the citizens are wrong?

Still, no reason not to at least try to make things better I guess. It's not like it couldn't be salvaged.

It's like in a multiplayer game when you are losing badly and you know that it's possible to win in theory, but theres no reason to suddenly expect your team to be better players. Theres a reason you started losing in the first place.

I feel like the people in power have done an excellent job of making it really difficult to figure out exactly how to make a positive difference. Demanding a "better future" does nothing. As a normal individual I don't have the resouces to make any large scale changes and even if I did it's impossible to know what kind of things the people in power would do to impede me. Everyones just standing around saying "dammit, someone better do something" but who or what is pretty much a mystery.
