but still, that area is entirely closed off with signs everywhere. Whether their intentions were noble or not they still shouldnt have broken a gate to march through a private community given what has happened the last month.

again - these people with the guns were totally off the wall, but I honestly am not shocked that people would look to protect their family and homes if a large gathering of people were marching through.

you've seen what happens at the protests, it escalates into vandalism and destruction.

I feel like the first and second things you said are contradictory. If people reflexively respect gates, then politicians CAN hide behind them.

It doesn't inherently escalate into anything. Going out there with guns increased the chances of things popping off, it didn't lower them.
