If you are good all year and do the right thing, you get rewarded at the end of the year with presents from a magic man. If you are bad you get nothing/coal/get your ass beat by a half goat man. With god, its the same thing on a longer scale. You live your life well and do the right thing and you get rewarded with afterlife in heaven. Or you go to hell and suffer/left in total darkness/get your ass beat by a half goat man. This is more like telling your kid that they are a super hero or comic book character. It could very easily lead them to getting in trouble or cause some serious mental issues when the illusion breaks, or they tell someone and everyone thinks they are crazy. --- ...
