I take back my earlier comment. Politicization isn't inherently bad and could actually be a great thing. This is a pandemic that disproportionately harms specific groups, harms the economy, and affects the country and the world as a whole. The response to it relies on politics, since politics is just the contest for power and resources between groups. Since it's inherently political, politics itself isn't the problem here, it's bad political decisions and leadership. That comes from a lot of places and people, but Trump and his party are chief among them. A leader is doing badly during a time of national crisis, in an election year. If that's not inherently political, what is? This is probably the among the most valid times to criticize Trump.
