He even explained to them he was turning off his music so he could listen. Heres an idea for a de-escalation tactic: try to listen to what the person/suspect is telling you, instead of ignoring them, talking over them, making assumptions, or just outright skipping all that and going straight to violence. Whether he was suspicious or not, they had no reason to touch him. He no sooner got the earbuds out of his ears/tried to turn his music off, that they grabbed him and were trying to restrain him in place. If 2 cop cars pull up on anyone, and they just walk up and grab you while youre minding your business, the reaction is going to be anger and surprise, telling them to get the fuck off.
