That's the idealistic view. In reality there's limited space, and even it we could fit every hardship case into this one hemishpere, it wouldn't exactly be a comfortable crowd. One of the right wing youtubers I follow says the dictators love it that potential dissidents effictively run away from home instead of banding together to depose their corrupt asses, and the problem never goes away. I found I couldn't argue with that, and while GWB was no doubt disengenious and fucked it up royally, he may have been in the right in thinking the rest of the world deserves to do well too instead of the refrugee adoption program the left wants these days. And given we can't seem to do it right without severely screwing it up, they might have to.
