And on the off chance Donald Trump posts here, no it doesn't appear to be helpful as a preventable measure, just those who get really sick from the virus tend to die a lot less when it's administered. Without a vaccine, these are the kind of breakthroughs we need. Since these are already extremely sick people they will most likely have long term effects from the virus, but those are better than being dead. Hopefully we continue to find useful drugs already out there while also making new antiviral treatments.
