They are really stressing the generational shift more than ever (possibly excluding the PS3), have minimised backwards compatibility as a selling point and may entirely avoid forwards compatibility. If they stick to that and this thing is expensive, that is a bad bet. Isn't that the same as with the PS1 and PS3?
