Incorrect, getting drunk is not helpful for sleep. Having a couple drinks to get a little buzz to help you fall asleep is fine.

And then you suggest benadryl which is a chemical antihistamine intended to treat allergies, and therefore if you aren't experiencing allergy symptoms, will dry you out and cause more snoring which interrupts sleep patterns a lot more than a drink of alcohol before bed
Actually, very factually correct, and your differientation between "drunk" and "buzzed" is subjective at best and misleading at worst. Having alcohol in your system is not conducive to good sleep. And while Benadryl might not be ideal, it's exactly the same thing in Tylenol/ Advil PM and Zzzquil but cheaper and will lead to better sleep than any amount of alcohol.
