And I mean this isn't a generational thing, it has always been a problem.

But I see so many people who just didn't care about grades in high school, didn't go to college or even dropped out of college, and just live with a bunch of room mates (usually friends) and work shitty jobs.

They don't care because they still feel popular and party a lot but like this life style isn't sustainable. Life isn't all drugs, sex, and parties. I mean seriously, you are going to get to your 40s, you'll be unattractive, poor, and have no chance of retiring when you get older.

It is just so short sighted, there are just too many people who think in the short term. It is all about "what is going to make me feel happy NOW?" "what is going to make me feel good NOW?"

Like I just finished my Masters Degree, I have a ton of job options (some have even contacted me recently) and so much to live for. Sure I partied as a kid, I lived somewhere where weed was legal so I had my share of fun, dated and all that, but I still have life goals. These kids have no idea wtf they are doing and eventually they are going to lose their support (parents and relatives will die) and they will be all on their own, with like MAYBE 1k in their bank account, and a shitty retail job or food service job. There just isn't light at the end of the tunnel for these people.
