I think Trump is for it, not sure about McConnell. Trump believes that people are using the checks for their intended purpose - to buy stocks - and the plan to send the market higher is working. As soon as the market had one big down day last week the administration immediately started talking about more payouts to individuals. Also, you're kidding yourself if you think Biden would handle this riot stuff better or that it's an easy problem. Bill Clinton could probably handle this situation better, and Biden from 10 years ago might have done a competent job.
